Switzerland’s oldest private bank, Wegelin & Co., is reported to be closing, having admitted to helping wealthy US tax payers conceal their assets. According to a BBC report, the bank aided over 100 American citizens, hiding $1.2 billion from the US Internal Revenue Service for almost a decade. Wegelin was established in 1741.
