"It is not too surprising that the overall prevalence of age related eye disease is on the rise given the aging of our population," commented Maine Cataract Surgeon Bruce Cassidy, M.D. of Eyecare Medical Group.
Maine cataract surgeons at Eyecare Medical Group commented on the increase in prevalence of cataracts as well as increasing need for cataract surgery and lens implants as the demographic impact of the aging baby boomers is dispersed throughout Maine.
