FIAT 500c: TINY CAR, BIG CITY

  • This tiny Italian car will probably find a comfortable home in American cities. Chrysler Group decided to introduce the new Fiat 500c, the convertible version of the so-cute-it-hurts 500, to journalists in New York City. That was ideal. The 500 is an near-prefect city car. But it rained. That wasn't so ideal. Eh... non c'e niente! We drove anyway and even got to open the top for a few minutes. We didn't stay in the city long. Soon we were headed up the Hudson Valley, driving along twisty roads over fog-shrouded mountains to the tiny town of Rhinecliff. In all, the trip took about three hours, proving that the front seats, at least, are very comfortable. All along the way, the car made an amicable companion.
