Sept. 28--Armed with investor money, veteran entrepreneur C. Lopez charged back into the health-care market in a big way Tuesday with the purchase of SimpleCare Health Plan, betting that discount medical plans and medical second opinions are about to undergo a major expansion worldwide.
Florida-based Essential Care Group has signed a deal to acquire most of the assets and liabilities of SimpleCare Health Plan, which has commercial, Expat enrollees through out Spain.
