EOSS Consulting worked with the City of God Local Development Agency, Banco Palmas and government partners to design and structure its first community bank, expanding access to finance and promoting opportunities for entrepreneurs in one of Rio de Janeiro's most underserved areas.
On Thursday 15, 2011, the first community bank of Rio de Janeiro was opened in the City of God (Cidade da Deus), an economically underdeveloped community in the West Zone of the city.
