Chinese miner fine $4.21m for toxic spill

CHINA'S biggest gold miner, Zijin Mining Group, has been ordered to pay a criminal fine of $A4.21 million for a toxic mine spill that highlighted the challenges of policing heavy pollutors with close ties to local authorities.
